Meet the Staff
Richard Bradfield answered the call to become the pastor of SHBC in April of 2006. He is a 1980 graduate of Opelika High School, a 1985 graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in religion & psychology and a 1994 graduate of New Orleans Baptist Seminary with a Masters of Divinity. His wife Cynthia is the secretary at First Baptist church of Attalla. Their daughter Jessica is a student at Etowah High School. They make their home in Attalla.
Ed Spivey answered the call to become the Minister of Music/Youth of SHBC in June of 2010. He is a 1974 graduate of Etowah High School and a 1988 graduate of Samford University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Church Music Education. He has been involved in full time church ministry involving music, youth, senior adults, church education, and church recreation since 1980. He resides in the Stowers Hill community and is a life long resident of Attalla.
Cathy Walker became the secretary at SHBC in November 2009. Her husband Gary is the pastor at Riddles Bend Baptist Church. They have two grown children, and reside in Glencoe.
It is an exciting time to be a part of SHBC ! As we look back at the emmense blessings of God from our past, we look forward to the tremendous opportunities that God has put before us. We believe that the greatest blessings of God have not yet been realized at SHBC. We would like to invite you to become a part of this faith family and become a part of a church that is making a difference for the Kingdom of God.
