Presenting Christ as Savior & Pursuing Christ as Lord

God's Love

We serve an amazing and wonderful God. What I find most amazing is that God, both the Creator and Sustainer of the world and all of life, loves me. His love is not because of, or dependant on anything that I might have said or done; but simply because that is the type of God He is. The Bible tells us that "God is love". That is truly wonderful news. Amazing and wonderful....
The truths concerning God are timeless and will never change. That is indeed great news! The question that begs to be answered is what will you do with His love? Will you accept His great love, and live in His love.... or will you choose to go your own way? Your response to this question is the most important decision that you will ever make.
God’s love is the most pure love that one will ever experience; all other love pales when compared to God’s love. The reason is simple: God is pure (holy, righteous, & without blemish). That too, is great news. But it creates a dilemma for man. God is pure, while man is not, making it impossible for us to enter into the presence of a Holy God. The Bible very clearly states that all of mankind has sinned and created a barrier that separates man from God. But because He is a God of love, and loves you and me, He made a way for us to enter into His presence and experience His great love. Jesus is the "Way". The only way.
To experience His great love and forgiveness, one must first admit their own sin and ask for God’s forgiveness of that sin. (Sin is failing to measure up to God's standard of perfection) Second, one must believe that Jesus is the way to God. That He is God’s provision for mankind. It is a fact that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and my sins. After confessing one’s sin, and acknowledging that Jesus is the way, You must commit yourself to turn away from sin and live for Him (that’s repentance). The Bible teaches that if you admit and turn from your sin, and turn to Jesus, and live for Him, not only will you experience forgiveness and His great love in this life, but you will live with Him forever in the life to come (eternity- forever and ever). Just as Jesus rose victorious over death, God’s children (those who admit, believe, and commit) will be victorious over death.
So, what about it? It is simple as ABC..... The choice is yours! Would you ask Jesus to come into your heart today? You’ll be glad that you did!
